Dr. Janna McIntosh is originally from
southeast Oklahoma. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in
1991 and her Master of Public Health degree in 1994. Both are from the
University of Oklahoma. She left Oklahoma for two years for her residency
in Pediatric Dentistry at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in
Gainesville, Florida.
As a general dentist, Dr. Janna was a commissioned officer of the United
States Public Health Service. She cared for Native Americans in the Wewoka
and Oklahoma City areas before moving to Florida for her specialty
training. Upon her return from Florida, she served as the regional
pediatric dentistry consultant at the Lawton Indian Hospital. She worked
both as a clinician and a consultant.
Dr. Janna and her family are members of the Main and Oklahoma Church of
Christ in McAlester. Her husband, Luke, is retired from the Indian Health
Service and is currently business manager of the McAlester Children’s
Health Clinic. Dr. McIntosh has two children, Lexie and Jared. Her hobbies
include playing with her children, cooking, traveling, and cheering for
the Oklahoma Sooners and the Florida Gators.
